I live and work in London with my two house rabbits, turtle and occasionally the brothers cat. I enjoy working with raw materials to create unique and personal seasoned gifts that can be used year on year. In a world where everything is mass produced in factories and discarded if it is deemed imperfect, I like to combat this through my work and maintain the significance of something being crafted by hand and keep creative skills and techniques that have been around for centuries alive. There is beauty is being able to create something from scratch and by buying handmade goods really creates a connection between the maker and the buyer; creating appreciation for craftsmanship.
As I handmake every item I can offer personalisation. This allows buyers to have products tailored to them. Some of my favourite customization gifts have been around first homes and first Christmases, and I know these gifts hold such a significance throughout the customers life as they mark major milestones in life.
As I have full control of what materials are used on each product I do make sure that the materials used are of good quality as well as I am conscious of using sustainable materials where possible, from the rope I use to the stickers you will see on the packaging.
